Why Choose Us
Why Houston Homeowners Choose Window Specialists of Houston
We're not the biggest company in Houston. We're the most careful one. Here's what that means for your home.
Expert Installation
Our certified installers have decades of combined experience. Every window and door is installed to manufacturer specs — no shortcuts, no callbacks.
Installation quality is the single biggest factor in how long your windows and doors last — and how well they perform. A premium window installed poorly will leak, draft, and fail early. That's why we invest heavily in our installation team. Every installer is trained and certified, and every job is inspected before we leave. We follow manufacturer installation guidelines to the letter, which also protects your product warranty. Our callback rate is near zero — because we get it right the first time.
Top-Tier Brands Only
We don't carry budget brands. Every product in our lineup is among the highest-rated in the industry — chosen for performance, durability, and warranty coverage.
We've spent years vetting window and door manufacturers, and we only carry brands we'd put in our own homes. That means Anlin, MI Windows & Doors, Westlake Royal, Sierra Pacific, Pro Villa, Therma-Tru, NT Window, and Don Young Company. These aren't brands you'll find at a big-box store. They're professional-grade products built for longevity, energy efficiency, and the specific demands of the Houston climate — high humidity, extreme heat, and the occasional severe storm.
Houston-Local Experts
We know Houston's climate, building codes, and neighborhoods. Our recommendations are tailored to what actually performs here — not generic advice.
Houston is a unique market. The humidity alone eliminates a lot of products that perform fine in drier climates. Add in the heat load, the occasional freeze, and the threat of hurricane-force winds, and you need windows and doors that are specifically engineered for these conditions. We've been working in Houston neighborhoods for years. We know which products hold up, which ones don't, and what local code requires. When we recommend a product, it's because we've seen it perform here — not because a manufacturer rep told us to push it.
Backed by Warranty
Our installations are covered by both manufacturer warranties and our own workmanship guarantee. You're protected long after the job is done.
Every product we install comes with the manufacturer's warranty — and because we install to spec, that warranty stays valid. On top of that, we back our own workmanship. If something goes wrong with the installation itself, we come back and make it right at no charge. We're not a fly-by-night operation. We're a local business with a reputation to protect, and we stand behind every job we complete.
Zero Pressure. Ever.
We believe in educating homeowners, not pressuring them. You'll get honest recommendations, transparent pricing, and all the time you need to decide.
The window and door industry has a reputation for high-pressure sales tactics — same-day-only pricing, artificial urgency, and pushy closers. We've built our business on the opposite approach. When we come out for a quote, we measure, assess, and give you our honest recommendation. We explain your options clearly, give you a transparent price, and then let you decide — on your timeline, not ours. No follow-up pressure calls. No expiring discounts. If you need a week to think it over, take it. We'd rather earn your trust than rush a sale.
Proper Flashing on Every Install
Every install includes a complete flashing system sealed into your home's water barrier — the detail most contractors skip.
Flashing is the waterproofing layer that seals the gap between your window or door frame and your home's exterior wall. Done correctly, it directs water away from the opening and integrates with your home's existing water-resistive barrier. Done incorrectly — or skipped entirely — it's one of the leading causes of water intrusion, rot, and mold behind walls. Most contractors skip proper flashing because it takes more time and materials. We don't skip it. Every single installation we complete includes a full flashing system: sill pan flashing, head flashing, and side flashing, all properly lapped and sealed. It's not visible once the job is done, but it's what separates a 30-year installation from one that starts leaking in five.

The Flashing Difference
Most homeowners never think about flashing. Most contractors don't either — and that's the problem.
Flashing is the system of waterproof membranes and metal that seals the perimeter of every window and door opening. Its job is to direct any water that gets behind your siding away from the opening and out of your wall cavity — before it can cause damage.
When flashing is done correctly, it integrates with your home's water-resistive barrier (the housewrap or building paper behind your siding) to create a continuous drainage plane. Water that gets in has a path out. When it's done wrong — or not done at all — water has nowhere to go except into your wall, where it sits against wood framing and insulation.
The damage from improper flashing doesn't show up right away. It can take years before you see staining, feel drafts, or notice rot. By then, the repair cost is far higher than the window replacement ever was. Our complete flashing system — sill pan, head, and sides — is standard on every installation we do. It's not an upgrade. It's how we do the job.
